Four arrested in parking meter explosion

Police arrested four youth who may have something to do with blowing up a parking meter in Rotterdam on New Year's Eve. They are suspected of attempted manslaughter and causing an explosion. A 14-year-old boy, who was standing 40 meters away, was heavily wounded by flying debris. His condition is critical. Three suspects were found based on witness statements. The fourth turned himself in. The four suspects are two brothers, a 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old boy. The police suspect one of them set off the fireworks, and is investigating what part the others played.
