Police shoot and kill man in Venlo

In the Venlo district Blerick police shot a 22-year-old Polish man who threatened them with a knife.The man died shortly afterwards from his injuries, reported police and the Public Prosecution Service (OM). Around half past five the police responded to a report of a man threatening people with a knife on the Nieuwborgstraat. When the officers arrived, the man also threatened them with the knife, after which he was shot. Politielogo

Wikimedia commons The man was taken to a hospital, seriously injured where he succumbed to his wounds soon after arrival. The prosecution did not want to elaborate on the matter any further than that it's under investigation.
