Van Gaal's Vision For Brazil

Although he already has the ticket for the World Cup in his pocket, Louis van Gaal is very serious about the last two matches for the qualification process. The coming matches against Turkey and Hungary are very important to him to find the right team to play in Brazil. The national coach talked to the press in Noordwijk on Wednesday. “Only Robben, Strootman and van Persie are sure that they can go to Brazil, the rest still have to prove themselves. They know that damn well.” Until the spring of next year I will not form the final team, van Gaal says. “I want to see different guys playing on the field. So Friday against Hungary and Next Tuesday against Turkey you might see two different teams.” The matches against Turkey and Hungary can have influence on the position of the Netherlands in Brazil. If a country is the winner of a group then in Brazil they can be the leader of a group and that has certain advantages. Van Gaal says about this, “It is important but not that important. I am not going to let it influence the composition of the teams for these two matches. The players know by themselves the advantages of being the group leader in Brazil.” Van Persie, who has a small injury at his toe, will join the caravan to Turkey. Van Gaal says that for him a team leader is not only important on the field but also outside the field.
