Protest Against Rebellion in Egypt

Dutch citizens assembled on Wednesday to protest the military takeover in Egypt and the consequent violence and deaths of anti-rebellion supporters. Cairo, Egypt
Photo by Luc Legay/Wikimedia Commons The demonstration criticized the coup that overthrew Egypt's first democratically elected president as well as the aggression against anti-coup protesters. The gathering was initiated by the Dutch Islamic Federation (NIF) and north Netherlands branch of Milli Gorus organization and took place at Malieveld Square in The Hague. The demonstrators, mostly of Turkish, Egyptian and Arabic origin, shouted sayings to support the ousted President Mohamed Morsi and the Egyptian public. The assembly showed the Rabaa sign, which is linked with the civilian resistance in the Middle East nation.
