Hockey: NL Defeats Ghana

Photo by Vinay/flickr The experienced Dutch team proved too strong for Ghana. At eleven minutes, the first half was cut short for an hour due to heavy rain. The first half was finished with 2-0. Ghana’s goalkeeper Joana Adjei prevented the Dutch from scoring further. During the second half, Ghana gave away fouls which resulted to 18 short corners and 4 penalty strokes. Merely two of the ten goals were scored from open play. Three were scored through penalty strokes and the rest came from short corners.
