The 34-year-old man arrested in Portugal after being found in the company of two missing Dutch teenagers on Saturday, is no longer a suspect. He is still a part of the investigation and will be questioned, the Public Prosecutor announced, according to Dutch newspaper AD.
The man was suspected of ilelgally taking the two girls out of their parents' custody. But according to the Dutch judiciary, Femke and Sam, both 16 years old, left of their won accord. No crime was committed.
