The Dutch authorities managed to hack into the phones of two men suspected of assassinating Samir Erraghib in IJsselstein in 2016. The Public Prosecutor believes that data from these phones will reveal which of the two suspects was the gunman, was revealed during the appeal in this case, ANP reports.

The Public Prosecutor did not reveal what data was retrieved from the phones, in order not to jeopardize another investigation. The case was therefore postponed for three months.

The police have released a video showing an incident from several months ago in which a pair of men take extreme revenge in a possible traffic argument. Two men are seen chasing and then shooting at a vehicle. Police are now looking for the victims.

68 million euro of unused phone credit expires every month. That is on average 8 euros per person per month. The Dutch consumers union, de Consumentenbond, announced this on Tuesday. The union sent a petition to the government to change the expiry date of credit to a least a year after it was bought.
