The Dutch economy is expected to grow by 2 percent this year, ABN Amro writes in its annual Vision on Sectors. This growth will put a number of sectors at their highest level in years.
The number of bankruptcies in the Netherlands decreased by 19 percent in the first quarter of this year. Freelancers in particular are doing well.
Dutch exports are boosted by the low rate of the euro and the sharp fall in oil prices. The top three most important export markets for the Netherlands are the United States, Canada and Turkey. This is the first time since 2009 that the US is back in the top three.
