Frustration about baby Hannah being taken away from her led Kim de L. to kidnapping her child in front of a Lidl supermarket in Eersel on Monday, her lawyer Anne Winters said to news wire ANP.
A six-month-old baby girl kidnapped in front of a grocery store on Monday morning was rescued by police just over the border on Monday evening. Authorities arrested the girl's biological parents, who were with baby Hannah when they were found together at a holiday park in Germany around 8 p.m., police revealed.
All three were still in Germany while their case was processed, police said. The Netherlands will request extradition.
The police issued an Amber Alert for 6 month old Hannah Simons, who was abducted in front of a Lidl supermarket in Eersel on Monday. The police believe her biological parents - Rowan S. and Kim de L. - are behind the abduction.
Youth services previously removed baby Hannah from her parents' custody, the police revealed.
