Rentals within the private sector in the Netherlands have risen by 5.2 percent when compared to the same quarter last year. Housing brokerage firm Pararius attributes this rise to the stagnation on the supply side of the market. Their website was only able to offer 10,194 new rentals to the third quarter of this year.
The police unions have handed Justice Minister Ard van der Steur an ultimatum to come up with a better collective proposal than the last offer from former Justice Minister Ivo Opstelten, the police union Nederlandse Politiebond wrote in a statement. The new Justice Minister has until April 13th to respond, after which "tougher actions" can be expected from police personnel.
Dutch software platform AppMachine received a 15.2 million US dollar investment from one of the largest online services providers, Endurance International Group. The investor receives 40 percent of the Heerenveen, Friesland firm's shares in the deal with Endurance having the option to increase share ownership over time, they announced on Tuesday.
