The police are draining the Bunschoten ditch in which the body of murdered Savannah Dekker was found on June 4th. Officers are looking for the 14-year-old girl's wallet and phone, the Public Prosecutor said on Monday.

More people may be involved in the disappearance and death of 14-year-old Savannah Dekker from Bunschoten, head prosecutor in Midden-Nederland Jet Hoogendijk said in television program Jinek. A 16-year-old boy arrested for the girl's death was remanded into custody for another 14 days on Thursday.

The police are looking for witnesses in the investigation into 14-year-old Savannah Dekker's death in Bunschoten. The girl was found killed in a ditch on an industrial terrain in Bunschoten on Thursday. Investigators specifically want to talk to anyone who saw Savannah on her bicycle after she disappeared from home on Thursday, June 1st, the police said on Opsoring Verzocht on Tuesday. The bicycle was found the same day in nearby Hoogland.

Savannah Dekker knew the 16-year-old boy arrested in connection with her death through social media, Bunschoten mayor Melis van de Groep said on Radio 1 Journaal. The police confirmed that both Savannah and Romy Nieuwburg were killed in crimes, though so far the cases seem to be unrelated, according to the news program.
