According to the Public Prosecutor, now 4-year-old Insiya's abduction from her grandmother's Amsterdam apartment was done according to a "military plan". This plan was drawn up by suspect Willem V., was revealed in the court of Amsterdam on Monday. The 54-year-old man said in court that he completely misjudged the situation, NU.nl reports.
The last two suspects in the abduction of Amsterdam girl Insiya Hemani who were still in custody, can await their trial in freedom, the court in Amsterdam ruled. Both suspects, Robert B. and Daniel C., are American and can await their trial in the United States, RTL Nieuws reports.
The court in The Hague sentenced Daniel C. to six years in prisonfor crashing his car into a gas station in Gouda in September last year. The court found C. guilty of arson, attempted manslauhter, destruction and driving under the influence. He was not given any institutionalized psychiatric treatment, because he refused to cooperate with an examination, ANP reports.
The sentence is equal to what the Public Prosecutor demanded.
