A Bosnian soldier working at the embassy in The Hague was arrested on suspicion of war crimes on Monday. Enes Jahic was arrested at a border crossing while trying to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina, ANP reports.

Jahic is suspected of being involved in war crimes committed by the Bosnian army against Bosnian Serbs in May 1992. Dozens of people were killed in the village of Bradina, according to the news wire. The rest of the village residents were chased off and their homes were burned down. Jahic is suspected of commanding a special police unit involved in this incident.

A court in The Hague has held the Netherlands responsible for the 1995 expulsions of 300 Muslims in Srebenica in 1995, as the country could have known that certain death awaited the men in the hands of Bosnian Serbs.
