Possible forgery by a clerk at the court in Arnhem could result in a 26-year-old man from Arnhem, convicted of killing his infant son, going free, according to the lawyers representing him, AD reports.

The 26-year-old man was sentenced to 46 months in prison in October last year for the severe abuse and neglect of his son, resulting in the baby's death in 2010. The baby had several broken bones and eventually died from the effects of an intestinal perforation. According to the doctors who examined the baby's body, that was caused by a hard punch in the stomach.

Five men from Geldermalsen and surroundings are appearing in the court in Arnhem on Monday to account for their role in anti-asylum center riots in Geldermalsen in December last year. They are being charged with disruption of the democratic order, a law that is hardly ever used in the Netherlands, according to both NOS and NRC.

A 39 year old man from Nijmegen, known as the Nijmegen peeping tom, is appearing in the court in Arnhem on Tuesday. He is suspected of raping five women, fornicating with an underage girl, and holding a 7th victim hostage in her home for a short time. In the court the suspect denied being involved in the rapes. On Thursday the court in Arnhem sentenced a 35 year old man to 182 days in prison, 180 of which conditionally suspended, for having oral and anal sex with a 13 year old boy in February last year. The judge found that the victim had played "an inviting role" in his abuse.

The court in Arnhem ruled that the municipality Montferland had unjustly removed 3 hours domestic help per week from two residents NOS reports. According to the court, the municipality should have done more research to establish whether these residents could get by without the help.

The Arnhem court decided in a preliminary judgement on Friday that the Public Prosecution (OM) should provide insight into the investigation of a destroyed film roll associated with the Srebrenica massacre in 1995. The OM suspects that the film was intentionally destroyed by the military.
