Netherlands to host Padel European Championship next year

The European Padel Championship will take place in the Netherlands next year. The first two phases of the tournament are in early March, with the final week running from July 7 to 11.

According to the Dutch tennis federation KNLTB, the European Championship will be organized “in multiple host cities throughout the Netherlands.” The locations and schedule will be announced in September.

“The development of padel in the Netherlands is impressive, both in terms of scope and at the elite level. Organizing this European Championship is a logical next step,” said the KNLTB’s sporting director Jacco Eltingh.

“Together with (co-organizer) Athvance Sports, we aim to create a large-scale championship where elite sport, experience, and the power of the padel community come together, inspiring as many people as possible to take to the court themselves," Eltingh said.

The Dutch men’s team finished fourth at the last European Padel Championship. The Dutch women are among the top eight in the world.
