Video: Four dead, two injured in single-vehicle crash in Limburg
Four people were killed and two others were injured Sunday afternoon in Heibloem, Limburg. Police reported that a car hit a tree.
The crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. on Aan de Heibloem. For reasons still unknown, the passenger car veered off the road and struck a tree.
Four occupants died at the scene. Two others were injured and were rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment, police said. Authorities have not released any information about the victims at this stage.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Specialists from the police traffic accident investigation unit are working to determine what happened.
A section of the road has been closed due to the ongoing investigation. It is not yet known how long the closure will remain in place.
