Jean-Michel Jarre to be guest of honor, opening act at 30th Amsterdam Dance Event
Jean-Michel Jarre is coming to the Amsterdam Dance Event this fall. The pioneer of electronic music will be the guest of honor and ADE’s opening act at AFAS Live. He will also give an interview during the ADE conference.
“Electronic music, as well as ADE, has a history, a legacy, and a future. The live show at ADE is going to celebrate its 30th anniversary, but also the 50th anniversary of Oxygène,” the 77-year-old French musician, composer, and lyricist said in a press release, according to Music Week.
Jarre promised his fans a spectacular show. “I have the ambition to keep the suspense and go from one track to another, into a different atmosphere, different stage design, mapping, giant projections and architectures of lights and videos, to share that moment that can stay in your heart and your brain for the rest of your lives,” he said. “I’m so happy to be part of this celebration in 2026.”
ADE described Jarre as a pioneer of one of the fastest growing trends in the industry today, saying that this “innovative international superstar” created “a new format of outdoor concert performance that has contributed to breaking the ground for a new generation of outdoor live cultural events.”
ADE launched in 1996 and has grown into one of the leading events in the electronic music industry. The event attracts approximately 500,000 people to Amsterdam every year. The 2026 edition will happen from October 21 to 25. Early bird tickets started launching on Wednesday.
