Utrecht festivalgoer arrested after police find him carrying dozens of phones

Police arrested a man after discovering dozens of mobile phones in his possession at the Sneeuwbal Winterfestival, RTV Utrecht reported.

It is unclear whether the man is responsible for stealing the phones. They were found “under suspicious circumstances,” the Utrecht police wrote on Instagram.

Officers from the Utrecht-Zuid department are asking festival attendees who are missing a phone to report it. “This also applies if you know someone whose mobile device is missing,” the police added.

The Sneeuwbal Winterfestival is an annual winter-themed music and entertainment event that attracts thousands of visitors for live performances, DJs, and winter activities.
