According to the Colombian police, the Dutch authorities suspect the two of leading a criminal gang that recruits, transfers, and exploits Colombian women in Europe. The victims were primarily brought to the Netherlands, where they were forced to perform sex work.

“Colombia is a country that does not harbor criminals: anyone who commits a crime and is wanted by international justice will be located and brought before the appropriate authorities,” Colombian National Police Chief William Oswaldo Rincón Zambrano said on X.

The arrests were made in collaboration with Interpol. The suspects will likely be extradited to the Netherlands in the near future.
