Three injured, one critically, after car slams into tree in Hoogeveen

Three people were injured, one of them critically, in a serious single-vehicle crash early Sunday on Het Haagje in Hoogeveen, police said.

The crash happened around 5:00 a.m. when a car carrying three occupants left the road and slammed into a tree.

The vehicle came to a stop several meters from the impact point.

Police said all three occupants were injured in the crash. One of the victims sustained serious injuries. All three were taken to a hospital by ambulance.
