Woman injured, two men arrested after shooting at Rotterdam’s Kralingseplein

A woman was injured in a shooting at the Kralingseplein interchange in Rotterdam early Sunday morning, prompting a large emergency response and the arrest of two male suspects, police said. The woman is a 24-year-old from Oss and is currently at the hospital in critical condition.

The shooting occurred around 1:45 a.m., according to police. It remains unclear whether the woman knew the two suspects.

"At Kralingseplein, a woman was injured in a shooting. She has been taken to the hospital. Two men have been arrested,” Rotterdam police said on X.

Images from the scene showed part of the roadway cordoned off as emergency crews responded. Several ambulances, a fire truck, and multiple police vehicles were deployed, and a helicopter assisted in the search. A car was removed from the scene by a tow truck.
