Van driver seriously injured after crashing into tree in Den Bosch
A van driver was seriously injured early Saturday after the vehicle struck a tree on Pettelaarseweg in Den Bosch, police said. The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. as the van, coming from the city center, lost control in a bend and hit the tree.
According to Omroep Brabant, emergency crews transported the driver to a hospital with serious injuries. The impact caused several ladders on the van’s roof to fall onto the road. Police said they are investigating the cause of the crash.
Hours earlier, a scooter rider was seriously injured Friday evening in a collision with a car at the intersection of Sigmondstraat and Hooftlanden in Werkendam.
Omroep Brabant reported that neighbors crowded around the scene in Werkendam, watching from behind police tape as emergency services worked.
