Police Investigate death in Eindhoven hotel as possible crime
A person died Sunday morning in a hotel on Vestdijk in the center of Eindhoven, and police are investigating whether the case involves a crime. The victim was found inside the Pullman hotel, according to a correspondent at the scene.
Emergency services responded in large numbers, and a trauma helicopter was deployed. The victim was resuscitated but could not be saved, police said.
A police spokeswoman said a crime “cannot be 100 percent ruled out.” The decision to open a full investigation was taken because of what officers called the “circumstances at the scene.”
Police stressed that launching an investigation after a death is not standard procedure. In this case, they said the specific conditions led them to that step. Authorities have not yet disclosed details about the victim’s identity or the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
