Masked fatbike rider wanted in late night stabbing near busy Tilburg square
On Sunday, a man was injured and hospitalized after being stabbed in the busy center of Tilburg. The victim was allegedly attacked with a sharp object by a fatbike rider wearing a balaclava.
Tilburg police posted on X (formerly Twitter) that “Several police officers are searching the area around #Tilburg, Jan van Aartsenstraat, for the suspect in the stabbing incident.”
Records show police officers were dispatched to the scene just after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. A specially trained dog and its handler were also part of the response.
The incident reportedly occurred near de Heuvel, a well-known square and shopping area in Tilburg’s city center. The suspect was reportedly wearing a dark jacket, likely black. People were warned not to approach him.
Officers further appealed for anyone with relevant information on the suspect or the incident to contact them.
