Police break window to rescue barking dog locked inside car in The Hague for hours

The police responded Tuesday morning to reports of a barking dog trapped inside a vehicle on Catherinaland in The Hague. The dog had been making noise for hours, disturbing nearby residents’ sleep, according to an on-scene correspondent from Hart van Nederland.

Officers reportedly faced difficulties freeing the dog because repeated attempts to contact the owner failed.

After multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach the owner, the police broke a window of the car to rescue the animal.

While waiting for the animal ambulance to arrive, the owner finally appeared and took the dog. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the dog being left locked in the car for hours.
