Medical worker stabbed during attempted robbery at doctor’s office in Sint Geertruid
A staff member at a doctor’s office in the Limburg village of Sint Geertruid was stabbed Friday afternoon during an attempted robbery. The attacker fled the scene and is still being sought by police.
The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. at a general practice located on Burgemeester Wolfsstraat. According to police and reporting by AD, a man entered the office and demanded money. During the confrontation, he stabbed a staff member, who sustained minor injuries. The victim received treatment for the wounds.
The suspect escaped immediately after the attack. Police described him as a light-skinned man between 20 and 25 years old, approximately 1.70 meters tall. He was wearing a gray hoodie, gray pants, and white shoes. During the robbery, he had a pair of pantyhose over his head to disguise his appearance.
Authorities are urging anyone who saw or heard anything, or who has camera footage or information about the suspect, to contact them. Tips can be shared with police by calling 0900-8844 or anonymously via 0800-7000.
