Teen killed in late-night crash near Kloosterburen, Groningen

An 18-year-old man was killed overnight in a single-vehicle crash on the Dijksterweg near Kloosterburen in the province of Groningen, Dutch police said Sunday.

Emergency services responded to the scene in the early hours between Saturday night and Sunday morning after receiving reports of the collision, according to De Telegraaf.

According to police, the crash involved no other vehicles. Details about the circumstances were not immediately available.

A police spokesperson stated that investigators are examining the exact cause of the accident. No further information about the victim has been released. Authorities urged anyone with relevant information to contact the police as the inquiry continues.
