The Dutch authorities received the first report of protesters at Apeldoorn slaughterhouses at around 2:45 a.m. this morning, according to NU.nl. There are protesters inside the slaughterhouses Ekro on Laan van Malkenschoten, ESA on Saba, and Ameco on Ecofactorij.
The organization also claims to be inside a slaughterhouse in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, but the authorities have not confirmed this.
According to the newspaper AD, the activists have chained themselves to machines and conveyor belts. The police have surrounded the buildings and have already arrested around ten German protesters who had chained themselves to the outside of the buildings.
