Maastricht shooting leaves one injured; Police arrest one as investigation continues

A shooting in Maastricht on Sunday evening left one person injured. The police arrested another person as a suspect and expect to make more arrests.

The shooting happened at around 6:00 p.m. on Banruwe in Maastricht. According to the police, there was a fight in which one person was assaulted. Shots were fired, and another person got hurt.

The severity of the victims’ injuries is unclear.

One of the people involved fled to a house on Robert Graaflandlaan and managed to escape. The police are looking for them.

The police cordoned off a large area around Banruwe and the home on Robert Graaflandlaan for investigation. They asked witnesses or anyone with relevant camera footage to come forward.
