Police urgently searching for man who lured girl into alley in Noord-Brabant town

Police in Noord-Brabant were investigating reports that an eight-year-old girl was lured into an alley by an unknown adult man in the village of Grave. The incident happened on at about 4:30 p.m. on the Pater Berthierstraat, a small residential street.

Investigators did not disclose further information about the incident, and have not stated what crimes they suspect took place at the location. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said on social media.

He was described as being a white person capable of speaking Dutch fluently "without an accent." Police said the slim man may have had a hearing aid in his left ear. He has brown hair, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and brown shoes.

"We are urgently looking for this person, and are asking for your help," police in Land van Cuijk wrote on social media. The individual was also riding an electric bicycle with blue bike bags.

"Be alert. Watch out for suspicious people in your area, advise your children never to go with strangers and always report suspicious situations," police wrote on social media. Anyone with information about the individual, or camera footage from the area was asked to contact local police.

The village of Grave is home to just over 12,500 residents, and is part of the Land van Cuijk municipality. The village rests along the border with the province of Gelderland, and is somewhat close to the municipalities of Nijmegen, Oss and Uden.
