At least nine more days of sunny, warm weather expected for Netherlands
The Netherlands’ current streak of sunny and warm weather will continue until at least May 21, the meteorological institute KNMI expects. After that, the chances of showers increase to 40 percent, with an uncertain temperature forecast. But first, nine more days of maximums in the 20s, abundant sunshine, and little to no rain.
Monday will be sunny and dry, with only the extreme southwest and south seeing a cloud or two. Maximums will range between 21 degrees on the Wadden Islands and 26 degrees in the south, with a moderate wind from the east. The wind could be fairly strong on the Wadden Islands and along the coast.
Overnight temperatures will drop to between 7 degrees in the northeast and 13 degrees along the west coast.
Tuesday will look much the same as Monday, with bright sunshine, little to no clouds, and a moderate wind from the east. Afternoon temperatures will range between 19 and 25 degrees, north to south.
For the rest of the week, the KNMI expects “dry and sunny spells with afternoon temperatures above 20 degrees.” Thursday and the weekend will have some more cloud cover, but still plenty of room for the sun to show its face.
