Oranje to play World Cup 2026 qualification games in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Groningen
The Dutch men’s national football team will play their World Cup qualification games against Finland and Lithuania in the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam. The home game against Poland will be played in De Kuip in Rotterdam, the Dutch football association, the KNVB, announced. It was recently announced that the first home game of the World Cup qualification campaign against Malta on June 10 will be played in Groningen for the first time in 42 years.
Ronald Koeman’s side will begin their campaign to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, with an away game against Finland on June 7.
A home game against Poland in Feyenoord’s stadium is the second game for Oranje in group G. Finland will then come to Amsterdam on October 12 before Koeman's side faces Lithuania in the last game of the group on November 17.
Group G has already started for the other teams in the group. Poland has won both of their games in the group so far, with Finland also unbeaten over two games with a win and a draw. Malta has lost both of their games thus far.
Oranje will be trying to bounce back from their elimination from the UEFA Nations League on penalties against Spain in March. The team qualified for the last World Cup in Qatar in 2022 after failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
