Clouds, rain, and pockets of sun across the Netherlands

The weather across the Netherlands today will be a mix of cloudy skies, light rain, and some sunny periods. In the north and northwest, it will be mostly overcast with occasional light rain or drizzle, and temperatures will barely rise above 11 degrees. Meanwhile, in the central and southern regions, there will be more sunshine, with temperatures climbing to between 14 and 17 degrees. Winds will remain light throughout the day, according to the forecast by weeronline.

The weather is expected to remain changeable in the coming days, with a mix of sunshine and occasional showers. Temperatures will range between 12 and 15 degrees during the day.

This afternoon, the northern and northwestern parts of the country will experience mostly cloudy weather, accompanied by light rain or drizzle. Elsewhere, there will be brief sunny spells, with cumulus clouds developing in the sky. These clouds will lead to some showers, and in the southeast, there may even be a slight chance of thunder. With light, variable winds, temperatures in the north will stay around 11 or 12 degrees, while areas like Limburg and Brabant could reach highs of 17 degrees.

As the evening approaches, most of the rain will move eastward toward Germany, bringing drier conditions to the Netherlands. However, some light showers may return to the northwest later at night. The night will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures not falling below 7 to 9 degrees, and winds will remain calm.

Tuesday will begin with a cloudy sky, and light showers are still expected in the inland areas, though no significant rainfall is anticipated. There will only be a total of 1 to 2 millimeters of rain. The temperature will hover around 13 degrees under the clouds.

By the afternoon, the frequency of showers will decrease from the west, and the latter part of the day will be mostly dry. While there may be some sunshine, it is unlikely to be a completely sunny day. Afternoon temperatures will range from 15 degrees in the northwest to 18 degrees in Limburg, with moderate winds from the west.

Wednesday and Thursday will bring more overcast skies and rain, particularly in the central and southern parts of the country. The exact amount of rainfall remains uncertain, but temperatures will likely dip slightly. When rain falls, temperatures will remain mild, typically around 13 degrees, but on drier days, it could climb to around 16 degrees. This shift in weather will feel noticeably cooler than during the Easter weekend.
