Odido's potential IPO could raise over €1 billion
Telecom company Odido could generate more than 1 billion euros through an initial public offering (IPO), according to sources cited by Bloomberg. The IPO, which would involve listing Odido on the Amsterdam stock exchange, is expected to take place in the first half of the year.
Bloomberg initially reported in November 2024 that Odido was considering an IPO, aiming for a total valuation of approximately 7 billion euros. At the time, a spokesperson for Odido declined to comment, dismissing the speculation as “purely conjecture.”
Odido is currently owned by private equity firms Apax Partners and Warburg Pincus, who acquired the company—then known as T-Mobile Nederland—from Deutsche Telekom in 2021. The 5.1 billion euro deal also included the remaining stake held by Sweden’s Tele2 in the business.
In 2023, T-Mobile Nederland was rebranded as Odido. The telecom provider now operates over 100 retail locations across the Netherlands and employs approximately 2,000 people. Odido serves about 8 million customers nationwide.
According to Bloomberg, Apax Partners and Warburg Pincus have enlisted several banks to assist with preparations for the IPO. However, discussions remain in the early stages, and details of the offering could still change. None of the parties involved, including Odido, have made public comments about the latest developments.
