6th body found on site of Hague explosions; 4 victims identified, including 17 y.o. girl

The emergency services found a sixth person dead on the Tarwekamp in The Hague during the early hours of Monday morning, a spokesperson of Veilighedsregio Haaglanden confirmed. Four of the deceased victims of the explosions at the apartment building have been identified. They were a 31-year-old man from Voorburg, and three victims from The Hague - a 17-year-old girl, a 45-year-old man, and a 41-year-old woman.

A police spokesperson said that the relatives of the identified victims have been informed. The identity of the fifth fatal victim has yet to be determined, as is the case for the newly discovered victim. The police spokesperson could not provide further information.

On Saturday at 6:15 a.m., two explosions occurred at a proch flat on Tarwekamp in the Mariahoeve district. Five upper-floor apartments were destroyed. Emergency services searched the rubble using excavators and dogs. Rescue workers found five bodies. Another person was found alive under the rubble. The sixth victim fatal victim was found on Monday morning.

The spokesperson for the Veligheidsregio Haaglanden, the office that covers the emergency services in the region, said that emergency services searched through the night and will continue to do so on Monday. An emergency order is in effect in the district until Monday evening so that the emergency services are not disturbed during their work.

It is not clear how many people are still missing under the rubble.
