Public can ride the route in Rotterdam in the run-up to the Tour de France Femmes

Anyone with a bike can ride the route of the third stage of the Tour de France Femmes in Rotterdam on Sunday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. It is one of the events organized in the run-up to the cycling race, which starts on Monday with a stage from Rotterdam to The Hague.

On Tuesday, a short individual time trial over 6 kilometers will be held in Rotterdam. It starts on the Schiedamsedijk and leads via the Hofplein, the Erasmus Bridge, the Spoorweghaven Bridge, the Binnenhaven Bridge, the Koninginne Bridge, and the Willems Bridge to the finish on the Boompjes. In addition to this bicycle tour, there will be music performances at several places in the Rotterdam city center on Sunday.

On Monday, the team presentation will take place at Depot Boijmans van Beuningen. This will also include dance performances by the Bencha Theater. In addition, acrobats will hang from ropes and perform tricks on the façade. On Tuesday, when the two stages end in Rotterdam, the Maritime Museum will also turn yellow, and there will be a musical program. On Wednesday, the Tour de France leaves the Netherlands. Finally, the fourth stage goes from Valkenburg in Limburg to Liège in Belgium.

Each of the 22 teams participating in Monday's bicycle race consists of seven women. A total of 154 female riders from all over the world are coming to Rotterdam with the desire to take first place.

Reigning champion Demi Vollering is the big favorite and enjoys the home advantage at the Grand Départ in the Netherlands.
