Twitter deleted 90 Dutch QAnon accounts: report

Twitter removed at least 90 Dutch accounts that supported and shared conspiracy theories by QAnon, data journalism platform Pointer said to ANP after getting confirmation from the social media platform.

According to Pointer, the 90 deleted accounts were among 476 Dutch-language Twitter accounts that it recently identified as troll accounts spreading disinformation about the American elections, among other things. The deleted accounts had a total of almost 95 thousand followers, Pointer said. @DutchQPatriot was the largest deleted account with 5,609 followers.

The QAnon movement believes that members of the United States elite are involved in a plot against president Donald Trump. They base these beliefs on messages from 'Q', an anonymous person online who claims to have insider information about these plots.

Pointer also recently identified around 50 Dutch trolls spreading disinformation and conspiracy theories about the coronavirus.
