Shots fired in car chase through Veldhoven; three hurt

Veldhoven was shaken by a high speed car chase during which shots were fired on Sunday night. At least three people were hurt, one of whom seriously, RTL Nieuws reports.

The police responded to reports of gunshots and cars driving at high speed at around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday. Responding officers found two cars that collided with each other on Traverse. Multiple people were seen fleeing the scene of the collision on foot. An injured man was found inside one of the cars.

A third car with another injured person was found on nearby Heerbaan. A short time later, three men showed up at the Veldhoven police station. One of them had a gunshot wound.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still unclear. The police think that this is an existing quarrel between two groups tat escalated, according to RTL Nieuws. The two groups deliberately sought confrontation with each other.

As far as is known, no arrests have been made.
