Sport planes crash in Brabant; two killed

Two people were killed in a sport plane accident in Willemstad in Noord-Brabant on Friday. Their aircraft collided with another sport plane in the air, NOS reports

Both planes had to make an emergency landing. One aircraft landed safely, the other one crashed. The two people in the plane that landed safely were unharmed.

The two sport planes took off from Breda International Airport at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning. The plane that crashed, a Cessna 172R was on its way to Rotterdam, according Flightradar.

How the accident happened is not yet clear. According to NOS, it seems the crashed plane suddenly changed direction at Willemstad.
