Woman, 32, found dead in Spijkenisse ditch

The body of a 32-year-old woman was found in a ditch behind her home in Spijkenisse on Sunday morning, shortly after her husband reported her missing. The police are investigating how she died.

According to the police, the man and woman went to bed together on Saturday night. When the man woke up at around 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, his wife was not in bed with him and nowhere in the house. He called the police.

The police searched the area for the woman and found her body in the ditch behind their home. "All scenarios, from accident, crime to suicide, are open", the police said.

The woman's husband was taken to a police station to give a statement.
