Man, 60, dies after being found seriously hurt on excavator

A 60-year-old man from Nistelrode died in hospital after being found seriously hurt on an excavator in the Noord-Brabant village of Mill on Monday morning. What happened to the man is still a mystery, Omroep Brabant reports.

A passerby found the injured man on an excavator standing on Volkelseweg and called the emergency services. A trauma helicopter responded and the man was resuscitated on the scene. He was rushed to hospital by ambulance, accompanied by the trauma doctor, where he passed away.

"At the moment we have no idea what exactly happened", a spokesperson for the police said to Omroep Brabant. "Specialized detectives are investigating the environment and excavator to find trace evidence that could bring more clarity."
