Man lets girl, 11, drive bike on crowded boulevard

The police reprimanded a man in Zandvoort on Tuesday for letting an 11-year-old girl drive a sports motorcycle on the crowded Boulevard Barnaart.

The girl was sitting on the bike between the man and the gas tank as they drove over the boulevard. At one point the girl took over steering the bike, and the man put his hands on her shoulders.

"The girl thereby controlled the 1000 cc sports bike and drove over the busy boulevard in the direction of Bloemendaal", the Zandvoort police said on Facebook. "Both were also only dressed in swimwear and flip-flops."

Patrolling police officers pulled the two over and handed the girl over to her parents. An official report was filed against the man for jeopardizing road safety.
