Gunman in Amsterdam assassination caught on camera

The police have clear footage of the man who murdered 41-year-old Reduan Bakkali in Amsterdam on Thursday morning. The gunman was filmed by security cameras in the building in which Bakkali's business is located, the Telegraaf reports.

According to the newspaper, the perpetrator was caught on camera when he entered the victim's business for a job interview. He shot Bakkali when he waked upstairs with him.

It is not yet clear when or if the police will release this footage. The police usually show footage of crimes in detection program Opsporing Verzocht if they are having trouble tracking down the perpetrator.

Bakkali had a business at the NDSM lot on TT. Melissaweg. He was the brother of Nabil Bakkali, a key witness in the case surrounding the numerous gang-related assassinations in Amsterdam and surrounds. In exchange for protection, Nabil gave the police at least 26 witness statements regarding these assassinations.

According to the Public Prosecutor, Nabil's family members were all offered protection plans, but Reduan decided to accept only some of the security measures.
