Bali airport reopens after volcanic eruption; KLM flights not yet resumed

The airport in Bali is reopening today, the Indonesian authorities announced. The Denpasar airport was closed for two days because of poor visibility caused by volcano Agung spewing ash into the air. Despite the airport's reopening, KLM is not resuming its flights yet, RTL Nieuws reports.

Website Flightradar24 shows that planes are indeed moving to and from the Indonesian island again, according to the broadcaster.

KLM has not yet resumed its flights to the island, as the Dutch airline's flights to the island happen at night and visibility may still be an issue in the dark. There are currently 400 KLM passengers stuck on Bali. The airline is examining the options of getting them home.
