Footage released of Amsterdam bar fight: Woman hit in face with glass
The Amsterdam police released footage of a fight in a bar on Zeedijk in which a young woman was brutally beaten in the face with a glass. The police hope that information from the public will help identify the man responsible.
The assault happened during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 14th. According to the police, the victim tried to calm down an argument between the man and another woman, but it escalated for unknown reason.
The victim can not remember why the man lost it and attacked her. He smashed a glass into her face at full force. The glass broke, leaving the 24-year-old woman with permanent scarring, despite intervention by a plastic surgeon.
The perpetrator is clearly recognizable in the video the Amsterdam police released. The police call on the man, or anyone who recognizes the man, to come forward.
