Witnesses sought in Rotterdam man's stabbing

The police are looking for witnesses to a stabbing in Capelle aan den IJssel on Sunday night that left a 52-year-old man from Rotterdam critically injured. The victim was found near Ernst Barlachrade and was rushed to the hospital. "The situation is still unclear and the police would therefore like to talk to witnesses", the police said in a statement.

According to the police, the victim was stabbed in the back, possibly on Ernst Barlachrade. Around 9:00 p.m. a passerby found the critically injured man on Jachthoorn and called the emergency services.

The police launched an investigation on Ernst Barlachrade and on Jachthoorn. So far no arrests were made.

The victim's current condition is unknown.
