Two offenders at large in Rotterdam gun homicide; Victim memorialized
Detectives are looking for at least two offenders in a shooting incident that left one man dead in the Rotterdam neighborhood of Ommoord on Sunday night. The police identified the victim as a 21-year-old man from Zoetermeer. On social media friends and acquaintances identify him by screen name Parsa010, posting photos and and condolence messages.
Witnesses saw at least two people driving away in the getaway car, which was alter found on Zernikeplaats, not far from the scene of the crime, the police said in a statement. The perpetrators fled from the car, through a park and towards shopping center Binnenhof.
The victim was gunned down at around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday while he was barbecuing with some friends in front of a home on Paardebloem. Due to the nice weather, many local residents saw what happened from their own gardens or through open windows. The police would like to speak with every person that witnessed the event and call on them to come forward.
