Teen boy held over fatal stabbing at Amsterdam gay cruising spot
The police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Amsterdam last week on suspicion of involvement in a fatal stabbing at a gay cruising spot in Oosterpark in Amsterdam last month. Polish man Jan Majdanski was killed in the stabbing on March 3rd, Het Parool reports.
The police believe that the fatal stabbing was the result of a robbery that got out of hand. The victim had no valuables on him when he was found. And witnesses "saw enough of the incident to assume it was a robbery", a police spokesperson said to the newspaper. A total of four offenders were involved in the stabbing.
The police are investigating whether there is a link between the stabbing and a series of muggings in the same area.
