Family: 10-year-old Dordrecht boy murdered

Ten year old Diego from Dordrecht was killed in a crime, the boy's family said to AD De Dortenaar. They boy's father Marcel S. is still in custody.

Marcel S. called the police around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday reporting that he found his son dead in their home on Jan Vethkade in the Dordrecht neighborhood of Krispijn. Around 10:00 a.m. the police closed down the area as a crime scene and took the 37-year-old man into custody for questioning.

So far there is no official information on how the boy died, other than it was likely not of natural causes.

Diego leaves behind an older sister and his parents, who are divorced.
