Arrest made in young Ede woman's murder
A 20-year-old man from Ede was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of involvement in the murder of a 19-year-old woman. The young woman was killed in her home on Agnietendaal on Tuesday night, the Gelderlander reports.
According to the police, the young man was arrested "based on the currently available information". At this stage it is unclear what the police believe the young man's roll was in the murder. The police are still investigation.
The police did not comment on what the relationship was between the victim and suspect. A spokesperson told the newspaper that it is still too early in the investigation to comment on motive and circumstances.
The suspect is in custody for questioning. The police are still calling on witnesses to come forward.
